THE PRODUCT: 

After years of laboring on jobsites with drywall installations, we have designed a factory engineered solution to complex drywall applications involving architectural detail.  We introduce GypShapes. 

GypShapes are pre-manufactured gypsum board profiles which are factory milled in our facility to create detailed, intricate soffits, cornices, light shelves and curved details which reduce the installation time and costs of complex drywall conditions while simultaneously improving the quality.

GypShapes offers the capability to manufacture corners reinforced with an internal steel spline for impact reinforcement which strongly outperforms corner bead.

GypShapes drastically reduces job site labor costs and increases the quality and appearance of your residential and commercial project.

THE PROCESS:

GypShapes are architectural drywall shapes produced on a state of the art milling machine and can be supplied in their final form, or flat for gluing into final form on-site. The options and detail combination possibilities are almost limitless.

WHY USE GYPSHAPES:

With GypShapes, soffits and cornices that typically involve high levels of labor for cutting board and mudding beads can be screwed direct to framing requiring no corner bead and minimal finishing. Complicated curved work can be completed in a fraction of the time.  

GypShapes 90 degree corners are milled and glued creating cleaner and crisper corners than those finished with metal corner bead. GypShapes eliminates the bowing effect sometimes apparent where corner bead has been floated out on site.

GypShapes are manufactured in a controlled environment so the finished quality is far superior to that achieved using traditional methods on the jobsite.

Using GypShapes means savings on jobsite labor site labor costs for hanging and especially finishing, reducing installation time by up to 75%.

GYPSHAPES MATERIAL:

GypShapes can be ordered using any gypsum material or thickness. E.g. 1/2”; 5/8”, Regular, Type X; Abuse Resistant; etc.

GypShapes can be produced in 8 ’, 9’ or 10’ lengths.

Edges can be supplied either Cut, Factory Tapered, or GypShapes 90 (mitered 90 degree edge).
