Round Straight Architectural Load Bearing & Decorative Fiberglass Column Styles

 

 

 

 

 
Round, smooth fiberglass composite columns are architecturally tapered.  The bottom 1/3 of the shaft height remains the same diameter and the top 2/3’s of the shaft height gradually taper to a smaller diameter at the top creating a more appealing effect.

 

The capital & base come as separate parts from the round smooth tapered column shaft.  They fit over the shaft and slide into place.

There are two benefits to this:

 

ONE:  Installation purposes.  They cover the installation brackets for finishing purposes

 

TWO: Height modification.  The column height can be adjusted easily and beautifully.

Our round smooth columns are available in a variety of the classical orders of architecture or contemporary architectural styles including Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, Tuscan, or other Greek or Roman architecture styles. Our products are manufactured from fiberglass, polyurethane, fiberglass composite, glassfibre reinforced gypsum (GRG), synthetic stone ‘glassfibre reinforced concrete (GFRC)’, or wood. Our round smooth and fluted columns have been used for restoration and renovation projects, as well as in historically styled new construction.

High Density Polyurethane Columns
Polymer/Steel tapered columns are made in a unique process that encases a load bearing galvanized steel pipe in an architectural shape of high density polymer.  Each column comes with a complete installation kit consisting of two metal attaching discs and screws.  See separate installation/specifications.  Please contact us for a copy of our load bearing tests or ask your supplier.   Our straight tapered columns can be cut to height from the base of the column using a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade.   Be sure to wear safety goggles.  Polymer columns can be cut down approximately 4 inches from the bottom to fit the base.  If a shorter column is desired, We will customize a base to fit the column.  Please fax in your request for a quote.  Installation instructions are included in the box with your column.  You will need to select the style cap and base you want to use.
