Polymer/Steel
tapered columns are made in a unique process that encases a load
bearing galvanized steel pipe in an architectural shape of high
density polymer. Each column comes with a complete
installation kit consisting of two metal attaching discs and
screws.
See separate
installation/specifications. Please contact us for a copy
of our load bearing tests or ask your supplier. Our
straight tapered columns can be cut to height from the base of
the column using a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade.
Be sure to wear safety goggles. Polymer columns can be cut
down approximately 4 inches from the bottom to fit the base.
If a shorter column is desired, We will customize a base to fit
the column. Please fax in your request for a quote.
Installation instructions are included in the box with your
column. You will need to select the style cap and base you
want to use.
Round smooth polyurethane architectural columns are available split for
reassembly around structural steel or wood supports.
